Description

Folios 120-140: Letter from Admiralty (signed George Tryon), dated 31 October 1883 to Vice Admiral Willes CB, China, regarding the proposed foundation of a local naval defence force, which includes a schedule (folio 122) and letters from the Admiralty and the Colonial Secretary on the matter (folios 123-131), a report from the commission regarding the formation of a local Naval Defence Force at Hong Kong, which encloses a letter by the Harbour Master (folios 133-138) as well as a copy of a letter from the Admirralty regarding the proposed foundation of a local naval defence force.
