Description

Folios 10: Letter from Chal [Chaloner] Alabaster, Consul, HM Consulate, Hankow [Hankou] dated 22 November 1883 to His Excellency, Sir Harry S Parkes KCB GCMG, reporting rumours of an outbreak being probable at Hanhow due to five Chinese gunboats having arrived at the port.
