Folios 519-520: Bartholomew Samuel Rowley, Dorants Hotel, Albemarle Street. has been informed by several officers that Mr French has declared that he wrote the letter to Vice-Admiral Kingsmill merely with a view to representing, as he thought, my state of health without any malicious intention, therefore asks to withdraw my letter from the Court martial on Lieutenant French and Lieutenant Gore.
