Folios 490-491: Peter Rothe, Regulating Captain, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Has recieved orders to despatch a tender with 9 French prisoners of war from North Shields and land them at either Leith, Lynn, Yarmouth or Chatham as most convenient.
Folios 492-493: enclosure with folios 490-491. Letter dated 27th January 1798 from Lieutenant Hugh Congalton, Eleanor Tender, North Shields, to Peter Rothe, Regulating Captain, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Will prepare to put to sea with the prisoners of war as directed.
