Folios 220-221: Thomas Rawe, HMS Royal Oak, Portsmouth. Acknowledges receipt of Admiralty letter , dated 2 December 1797, directing him to remove the French Officers confined in Portchester Castle to a prison ship. Confirms that the prisoners will be removed in to HMS Fame.
