Hydrography by the Party under the command of Lieutenant J. Alden, U.S.N. Assist. ... 1854'. A D Bache, Superintendent. Compass rose. Notes on sources; table of abbreviations. Reduced drawing by A Boschke, J J Ricketts, F Boucher. Inset: Admiralty Inlet and Puget Sound. Verified by H W Benham, Captain of Engineers, Assistant US Coast Survey Office. Engraved by R T Knight and R F Bartle, 12 June 1872.Printed by Wagner and McGuigan. Red ink and pencilled additions show British and American boundary claims. Pencilled note in lower margin reads: 'There is a considerable disagreement between this and Keller's survey. A Reduction of this ... sent to Captain Richards - May 28th/58'. In a volume of maps relating to the Juan de Fuca boundary question sent to Admiral Prevost, Berlin.
