Folios 224-225: Pulteney Malcolm, HMS Donegal, Portsmouth Harbour. Reports that he has received a letter from Admiral George Montagu requiring Lieutenant David Shine to explain why he did not return at the end of his leave. Refers the Admiralty to his letter of 19 June, in which he forwarded a doctor's certificate that Lieutenant Shine was too ill to travel.
