Folios 141-142: George McKinley, HMS Lively, Falmouth Harbour. States the case of Nathaniel Tucker, who matches the description in the documents the Admiralty have sent him and who entered for the Lively at Plymouth on 17 June.
Folios 142A-142B: enclosed with folios 141-142. Letter, not dated, from Grace Tucker, Falmouth, to the Admiralty. Seeks the discharge of her son Nathaniel Tucker, who enter for HMS Lively in June. Captain George McKinley has told her she must apply to the Admiralty. Encloses his indenture [not present], an affidavit and a warrant.
Folio 143: enclosed with folios 141-142. Affidavit dated 23 June 1806 and sworn by John Ferris, tinplate worker, Exeter, before Justice of the Peace Reuben Phillips. Swears that his apprentice Nathaniel Tucker absconded on or about 19 June. Believes he is aged about 17.
Folios 144-145: enclosed with folios 141-142. Warrant dated 23 June 1806 and signed by Justice of the Peace Reuben Phillips, Exeter, for the arrest of Nathaniel Tucker, an apprentice to tinplate worker John Ferris, who absconded on 19 June. 11 November 1806. Mayor Joseph Banfield, Falmouth. Orders constables of Falmouth to execute the warrant.
Folios 145-146: enclosed with folio 141. Letter dated 17 November 1806 from James Buller, the Downs, to the Admiralty. Seeks the discharge of Nathaniel Tucker, apprentice to tinplate worker John Ferris of Exeter, who is currently aboard HMS Lively, Captain George McKinley, at Falmouth. Encloses an extract from the register and an affidavit from his mother Grace Tucker which appears to show that he is less than 17 years old. Asks for the discharge order to be sent to James White of Exeter or else to Captain McKinley.
Folio 147: enclosed with folios 145-146. Extract dated 17 November 1806 from the parish register of St Keryan [St Kerrian], Exeter, showing that Nathaniel Tucker, the son of John and Grace Tucker, was baptised on 7 March 1790.
Folios 148-149. enclosed with folios 145-146. Affidavit dated 17 November 1806 and sworn by Grace Tucker, wife of John Tucker of St Kerrian, Exeter, painter, before Justice of the Peace George Westlake. Swears that her son Nathaniel Tucker, apprentice to John Ferris, tinplate worker, who is now aboard HMS Lively at Falmouth, is only 16 years old having been born 7 February 1790.
