Folios 95-96: John McKerlie, Garliestoun, Galloway. Encloses a letter to be laid before the Admiralty.
Folios 97-98: enclosed with folios 95-96. Letter dated 10 December 1806 by John McKerlie, Garliestoun, Galloway. Thanks the Admiralty for allowing him to return to Scotland after Trafalgar. Notes he has been constantly employed since 1794 and seeks further employment, preferably in a warm climate because the loss of his right arm while serving under Captain Sir Edward Pellew in HMS Indefatigable, in action with the Droits de l'Homme, makes a cold climate difficult.
