Folios 253-254: Wilson Rathborne, North Shields. Transmitting a report on John McLeod, on board HMS Transit. He was impressed by Lieutenant Fullton at North Shields. Indentures show that he has been at sea for two and a half years.
Folios 255-256: enclosure with folios 253-254. Letter dated 27 June 1813 from Palmerston to Lord Palmerston, asking for an enquiry into the case of John McLeod who is not a protected apprentice and is unlikely to be able to obtain a discharge.
