Folios 236-237: Wilson Rathborne, North Shields. Transmitting a report on the case of George Davidson, on board the Transit. He was impressed at Sunderland by Lieutenant Riddle and detained as he had no exemption from impress. He has been two years at sea and will be useful as one of the Carpenter's crew.
Folios 238-239: enclosure with folios 236-237. Letter dated 22 June 1813 from Elizabeth Davidson, widow, requesting that her son George be discharged, and offering to play a sum considered appropriate. She and her family are financialy dependent upon him. One of her other six children had a leg amputated.
