Folios 102-103: Wilson Rathborne, North Shields. Transmitting a report on George Campbell on board HMS Transit. He was impressed by Lieutenant Fullton at North Shields and detained under suspicion of having already been at sea. Captain Rathborne wanted the Mster to write to Dundee for proof to the contrary, or of is being under age, but has heard no more apart from the receipt of the enclosed document.
Folios 104-105: enclosure with folios 102-103. Cover letter dated 14 June 1813 from James Norie at Broughty Ferry.
Folios 106-108: enclosure with folios 102-103. Petition of James Norie, ship owner, Broughty Ferry, for the release of George Campbell who is apprentice and servant to the petitioner. Campbell has never served with any other ship before, and is under age. He was impressed at North Shields, but did not have proof of being under age. Norie now supplies that proof.
Folio 107: enclosure with folios 106-108: Extract from the Parish Register of Monifieth confirming the birth of George Campbell to David Campbell and Agnes Whitton of North Ferry
