Folios 533-534: Robert Murray, HMS Asia, Spithead. Reports that two of the troop transports he was escorting from Halifax, the Diamond and Duke of Kent, were captured by a French privateer from Bordeaux on 27 October, several days after parting company with the Asia in fog. Thinks it was the same privateer that attacked the Dick of Liverpool. The French put the Diamond's people on board the Duke of Kent and allowed her to proceed to Spithead. Encloses [not present] the French statement of the terms under which they released the one ship and the troops.
