Description

Folios 515-516: Joshua Mulock, HMS Hindostan, Deptford. Encloses a statement regarding John Bayley and Anthony Martin alias Judd, and notes that Martin has been sent to the Nore.

Folio 517: enclosed with folios 515-516. Report dated 28 October 1800 from Captain Joshua Mulock, HMS Hindostan, on John Bayley and Anthony Martin, alias Judd. Bayley says he was born in New York and was discharged into the Hindostan from HMS Cambridge, having previously been aboard HMS Alfred. He has no documents. Martin says he was born on the Island of Curasoe [Curacoa] and has no documents to prove his citizenship. He is a volunteer.
