Folios 453-454: Joshua Mulock, HMS Hindostan, Spithead. Reports that when his ship was paid recently, there was confusion about whether he should be entitled to the pay and allowances for servants established for ships armed en flute and commanded by Post Captains. Although the Hindostan has not been explicitly fitted as a troop ship she has been used for that purpose, as the case of the Lancashire Militia embarked at Plymouth. Asks the Admiralty to clarify the position.
