Folios 430-431: Zachary Mudge, HMS Fly, off Cherbourg. Describes his efforts, together with HMS Rambler, to stop a convoy of small vessels getting out of Cherbourg and round to La Hogue by anchoring in their way. Because of the strength of the tides and the lack of a secure anchorage, he thinks it will take several more vessels to effectively blockade the port. Believes this convoy is trying to get round Cape Cartaret into Barneville.
