Folios 422-423: Zachary Mudge, HMS Fly, off Cherbourg. Reports the cutter Earl St Vincent has just brought him information on the vessels supposed to be fitting out in Cherbourg. He can see several small vessels in the roads and one frigate in the inner harbour with only her lower masts rigged. Needs a smaller vessel to go close inshore at night, as without it he has not been able to prevent two vessels from escaping from La Hogue.
