Folios 142-147: Correspondence regarding the Nagasaki Coal Deport ([five of eight coal sheds?]).
Encloses letter (folio 144): M Adams, Nagasaki dated 16 August 1887 to Vice Admiral Richard Vesey Hamilton, Commander-in-Chief, China, informing that a new coal shed for Welsh Patent Fuel has been built after the [Romsdal?] arrived with coal cargo. It also states that the [Bandanira?] left Cardiff on the 10 June [1887] and is expected next month stating that extra sheds need to be obtained.
Encloses letter (folio 145): M Adams, Nagasaki dated 14 December 1887 to Vice Admiral Richard Vesey Hamilton, Commander-in-Chief, China, informing that as no shed could be hired a new coal shed had to be built to store the 2000 tonnes of coal from the ship [Bandaniha?].
Encloses letter (folio 146): Admiralty (signed Evan Macgregor), dated 20 March 1888 to Vice Admiral Sir Nowell Salmon VC KCB, China, informing that the steps to accommodate coal at the Nagasaki depots have been approved and asking for the opinion on the future of the contract providing the coal for depots in the region.
