Encloses notice to mariners (folio 102): C H Palmer, Harbour Master, Canton, dated 2 February 1884, due to barriers in Cambridge and Collinson Reaches.

Encloses notice to mariners (folio 103): Sasaki Takayuki, Minister of Kobusho, Tokio [Tokyo] dated 25 September 1883, informing of a new lighthouse which has been erected on the point called Hiyoriyama (2.5 miles north of Otaru).

Encloses notice to mariners (folio 104): Yamagata Aritomo, Acting Minister of Public Works, Tokio [Tokyo], dated 8 June 1883, regarding the exhibition of permanent light.

Encloses notice to mariners (folio 105): Yamagata Aritomo, Acting Minister of Public Works, Tokio [Tokyo] dated 12 June 1883, regarding the new lighthouse on Rokkosaki.
