Description

Folios 285-286: George Reynolds, Deal. Informing that Henry Jones was a Ticket man attached to the Margate Rendezvous and thus protected from impressment. He has a wife and two children and is a Housekeeper at Margate. He had Lieutenant Davis's permission to go to Gravesend in the British Queen and was not put on the vessel as an impressed man.

Folios 287-288: enclosure with folios 285-286. Letter dated 25 August 1807 from [Stephen] Albans at Shalford Place. Stating that Henry Jones was impressed, despite being enrolled as a Sea Fencible at Margate and questions why his Protection did not stop his impressment.

Folios 289-210: enclosure with folios 285-286. Letter dated 28 July 1807 from Lieutenant Harry Dawe at the Margate Rendezvous. Requesting the discharge of Henry Jones, one of his Ticketmen who was impressed out of the British Queen, Margate Package at Gravesend, and is now on board HMS Zealand.

Folio 291: enclosure with folios 285-286. Ticket to prevent impressment, stating the bearer belongs to the Deal Rendezvous.

Folio 292: enclosure with folios 285-286. Incomplete form for certifying the names of the men assisting bringing an un-named ship into an un-named port.
