Folios 234-235: enclosure with folios 232-233. Letter dated 14 March 1807 from Deal dated 14 april 1807, signed by Lieutenant Impress Service Officers including Harry Dawe (Margate) Samuel Leavey (Ramsgate) Thomas Gregory (Dover), John Mundell and Hugh Anderson (Deal). Enclosing a letter about the cost of provisions and the inadequate pay and subsistence.
Folios 236-237: enclosure with folios 232-233. Letter dated 14 April 1807. When first appointed the Lieutenants of Impress Services, Harry Dawe, Samuel Leavey, Thomas Gregory, John Mundell and Hugh Anderson, received the pay of a Lieutenant of first Rate, which they have not since received. They now face the exorbitant price of provisions and lodgings, and plead for the higher rate of pay.
