Folios 214-215: Richard Raggett, HMS Spencer, Spithead. He has arrived from Halifax having received orders from Anselm John Griffiths to proceed to Castine and remain there until the evacuation of Castine garrison. On 27 April, Major General Gerard Gosselin with the garrison on board HMS Spencer, Charybdis, Rifleman and Escort and 8 sail of transport, he sailed and arrived in Halifax 3 May 1815. He received orders from Bermuda via HMS Perseus to proceed immediately to England. He liaised with Sir John Coape Sherbrooke to take the 29th and 90th regiments with a detachment of 52nd and receive on board the troops men listed in the margin and sailed 11 May. He then detailed how the troops were evacuated to England and the HMS ships involved.

Letter dated 8 May 1815 from Richard Raggett, HMS Spencer, Halifax to George Ralph Collier, HMS Leander, Halifax ordering him to sail to Quebec with any available empty transports, liaise with Sir John Coape Sherbrooke to convoy 2 divisions of troops to England.

Letter dated 8 May 1815 from Richard Raggett, HMS Spencer, Halifax to Lord George Stuart, HMS Newcastle, Halifax ordering him to sail to Quebec with any available empty transports, liaise with Sir John Coape Sherbrooke to convoy 2 divisions of troops to England.
Folios 219-220: enclosure with folios 214-215. letter dated 9 May 1815 from Richard Raggett, HMS Spencer, Halifax to Anselm John Griffiths, Halifax. Reporting his arrival with HMS Charybdis, Rifleman and Escort and General Gerard Gosselin and the garrison of Castine which was evacuated 27 April 1815. He also encloses copy of orders [not present] given by him to HMS Pelter and [L?]. Now ordered to Plymouth, he has taken charge of the convoy of transports with the 29nd and 98th regiments and a detachment of the 62nd regiment and taken the [B?] troopship which has enabled him to take the troops and he will receive those ships of war that he has knowledge of.
Folio 221: enclosure with folios 214-215. Return of the sick and wounded of HMS Spencer 31 May 1815 employed at Spithead.
