Folios 199-200: Robert Ramsay, 1 James Street, Adelphi. Enclosing an order to act as captain of the American prize frigate, non HMS ship, President, from the commander in chief on the American station. As Captain Palmer has now been appointed post captain 9 October 1814 and his appointment to the President cancelled, he is now been given command as the first on the Admiralty list for promotion.
Folios 201-202: enclosure with folios 199-200: Order dated 9 April 1815 from Sir Alexander Cochrane to Robert Ramsay appointing him to the command of the American prize ship, President.
