Folios 261-262: TR Rodd, HMS Warrior, Spithead. He acknowledges receipt of a letter appointing Mr John Brady to be a gunner on board his ship. He points out that he approved a joining letter between him and the present gunner for an exchange as he was much afflicted with rheumatism. He had a conference this morning with Admiral Burlton under whom Brady has also served, as a consequence of that conversation he asks the Admiralty to cancel the appointment.
