Description

Folios 172-173: Joshua Rowley, HMS Blossom, The Downs. He announces his arrival together with HMS Nautilus and the Mediterranean Convoy. He encloses a list of the convoy vessels, together with a copy of his orders, accounts (not enclosed) and sick lists and defects of both his vessel and those of HMS Nautilus .

Folio 174: enclosure to folios 172-173. Weekly return of the sick and wounded on HMS Blossom between 14 September 1814 and 22 September 1814. 16 names listed. Signed by Adam Scott, Surgeon.

Folio 175: enclosure to folios 172-173. Order issued by Rear Admiral Fleming of the White to Captain Rowley of HMS Blossom dated on 23 August 1814. Captain Rowley is to take under his orders HMS Nautilus and a convoy assembling in Gibraltar Bay and to conduct them to The Downs. He is to call off the lighthouse at Cadiz for any other vessels that may wish to join him. Before he leaves Gibraltar he is to send Rear Admiral Fleming a list of the vessels in the convoy together with details of any item put aboard HMS Blossom.

Folio 176: enclosure to folios 172-173. Description of the defects of HMS Blossom. Signed by Joshua Rowley and William Kingston, the Carpenter.

Folio 177: enclosure to folios 172-173. Weekly return of the sick and wounded dated 22 September. One listed as sick and 13 as unserviceable. Signed by R Goodwin, the Surgeon.

Folio 178: enclosure to folios 172-173. List of Defects of HMS Nautilus signed by Captain Thomas Dench and [?] Carpenter.
