Folios 246-247: Wilson Rathbone, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Reports on the case of John Turnbull, now aboard the tender HMS Lyra. Turnbull was impressed at Newcastle by Lieutenant Nathaniel France as he had no protection.
Folios 248-249: enclosed with folios 246-247. Letter from Charles and Jonas Cockerill, South Shields, to the Admiralty, 2 December 1810. Ask a second time to be allowed to raise substitutes for John Turnbull, now on board the tender HMS Eliza. Regulating Captain Wilson Rathbone tells them he has two men of that name aboard the tender; their application is on behalf of the second of those to be impressed.
Folios 250-250A: enclosed with folios 246-247. Letter (Pro T395) from Messrs Charles and Jonas Cockerill, South Shields, to the Admiralty, 13 November 1810. Ask permission to raise substitutes and deliver to Regulating Captain Wilson Rathbone substitutes for John Turnbull, who has been impressed and is now aboard a tender in the Tyne.
