Folios 203-204: Wilson Rathbone, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Reports on the case of Justinian Lambert, now aboard the tender HMS Eliza. Lambert was impressed by Lieutenant Andrew Lapslie on 8 November while straggling on shore. When his Master, James Swinburn, came to claim him he did not know Lambert's name. Lambert had offered his watch and silver chain to the Midshipman to let him go.
Folios 205-206: enclosed with folios 203-204. Letter from James Swinburn, Sunderland, to the Admiralty 18 November 1810. Encloses affidavits concerning Justinian Lambert of the brig Diligence, who was impressed at Shields on 9 November while ashore on the ship's business, asks for his discharge.
Folio 207: enclosed with folios 205-206. Affidavit sworn by James Swinburn, Sunderland, Master Mariner, before Justice of the Peace J [Hampson ?], 17 November 1810. He is Master of the Diligence of Sunderland and Justinian Lambert was the Mate until he was impressed while on shore at South Shields on the ship's business.
