Folios 83-84: enclosed with folios 68-69. Letter from Vice Admiral Sir Alexander Inglis Cochrane, HMS Neptune, the Saintes, to Captain William Roberts, HMS Statira, 11 July 1810. Acknowledges the Captain's letter saying that he would need the evidence of Captain William Charles Fahie of HMS Abercrombie as well as that of Lieutenant Colonel Francis P Scott and Captain Burges [Captain John Berger?] of the 25th Regiment and of his former First Lieutenant, Samuel Thomas Carter. The charges relate to his treatment of his own officers, something Captain Fahie and the Army officers have nothing to do with. The court martial he has requested will go ahead as soon as possible.

Folios 89-90: enclosed with folios 68-69. Letter from Captain William Roberts, HMS Castor, to Vice Admiral Sir Alexander Inglis Cochrane, 10 July 1810. He wrote two days ago requesting a court martial on himself, prompted by the Admiral's comment that he had behaved oppressively towards Lieutenant Michael Raven. He has now been told by Captain James Bissett that the court martial is going ahead. He requested a delay because he would need the evidence of Lieutenant Colonel Francis P Scott and Captain J Burges [John Berger?] of the 25th Regiment, Captain William Charles Fahie of HMS Abercrombie and his former First Lieutenant, Samuel Thomas Carter. But he is happy to entrust his case to the Admiral's judgement.
Folios 91-92: enclosed with folios 68-69. Letter from Captain William Robert, HMS Castor, Englishman's Head, to Vice Admiral Sir Alexander Inglis Cochrane. When he met the Admiral on Wednesday he neglected to ask about the compensation offered to officers who took part in the attack on Guadeloupe. On 30 January the Castor was anchored in the Bay of Anse le [Bare ?] when Captain Elliot asked for assistance as his men were under fire from the French. His senior officer, Captain Samuel James Ballard of HMS Sceptre, ordered him to send boats ashore to destroy the French batteries, which he did. Also asks to be compensated for entertaining the officers of the 25th Regiment who were aboard the Castor.
Folios 93-94: enclosed with folios 68-69. Letter from Vice Admiral Sir Alexander Inglis Cochrane, HMS Pompee, Basseterre Roads, Guadeloupe, to Captain William Roberts, HMS Castor, 12 March 1810. Refuses Captain Roberts' request to remove Lieutenant Michael Raven from the Castor, as his court martial has cleared him of the charges and he suffered a long confinement on charges which appear to have been unfounded. Notes that courts martial on the Purser's Steward and the Master have likewise acquitted them.
Folios 94-96: enclosed with folios 68-69. Letter from Captain William Roberts, HMS Castor, off Guadeloupe, to Vice Admiral Sir Alexander Inglis Cochrane, 16 April 1810. Encloses a letter concerning Lieutenant Michael Raven, wishes to explain the circumstances behind the request he is making. When the previous First Lieutenant was invalided on 10 March, Lieutenant Raven succeeded to that position, except for a period of nine days at Antigua when he was on the sick list. He has not been satisfied with the way the Lieutenant conducted his duties, nor with his language towards his Captain. Gives details of several occasions when the Lieutenant has not followed his orders and has questioned their propriety, in particular in regard to the Midshipmen. For this reason is requesting a court martial on the Lieutenant. 4 April 1810. Copy of a general order issued by Captain William Roberts of HMS Castor regarding the duties of Midshipmen. 16 April 1810. Formal request to Vice Admiral Sir Alexander Inglis Cochrane from Captain William Roberts, HMS Castor, for a court martial on Lieutenant Michael Raven.
