Folios 49-50: Wilson Rathbone, Regulating Captain, North Shields. Reports on the case of William Tindle, now aboard HMS Namur, and returns the enclosed letter and affidavit. Tindle was impressed by Lieutenant Thomas Flinn on 15 September from the Good Intent of Scarborough, Francis Edmond, Master, because of previous fraud over his appointment as Mate and because the Master offered a bribe to the Lieutenant to let him go. Tindle is aged 22.
Folios 51-52: enclosed with folios 49-50. Petition from ship owner James Mosey, 9 Clare Court, to the Admiralty, 12 October 1810. Asks for the discharge of William Tindle, who was impressed from the Good Intent, Francis Edmond, Master, and sent to the Nore, if he can produce a substitute.
Folio 53: enclosed with folios 49-50. Affidavit sworn by Francis Edmond, Master of the Good Intent of Scarborough, before Justice of the Peace Thomas [Kelder ?], Scarborough, 18 September 1810. Swears that William Tindle is Mate of the Good Intent.
