Description

Folios 315-316: Thomas Byam Martin, London. Christopher Cook [122 Great Russell St, Bloomsbury]. As attorney to Thomas Byam Martin he request the granting of an order for his being paid by Bill for the time he was Commander of HMS Artois by virtue of the enclosed order dated 5 January 1795.

Folios 317-318: enclosure with folios 315-316. Letter dated 5 January 1795 by the Admiralty, London, to Thomas Byam Martin. Letter appointing him Captain of HMS Artois.
