Folios 232-233: John Manley, HMS Apollo, Plymouth Sound. Having seen the whole of the East India Ships mentioned in his letter dated 19 July 1795 in Safety off Dunnose [Isle of Wight], he separate as per the orders on the Morning of 22 July 1795 knowing because of the winds that there would be no doubt of them anchoring in the Downs that night. He reports that HMS Apollo & HMS Santa Margarita arrived here last evening for the purpose mentioned in the said letter and as soon as the two ships are complete he will join Admiral Robert Kingsmill in Cork Harbour.
