Folios 226-227: John Manley, HMS Apollo, Cawsand Bay. Reports he sailed from Spithead on 13 April 1795 having on board One Hundred and fourteen Artillery Men & Twenty One Women. Not finding the two vessels he was to take with him those and hearing HMS Trompeuse was at Plymouth, with whom he understood the vessels had sailed from the Downs as Intentioned in his letter dated 9 April 1795. He stopped in Cawsand Bay and made enquiries for them and not finding them here, after getting on board Beer, Water and Fresh vegetables, He proceeded immediately for Cork as per his orders.
