Folios 190-191: Micajah Malbon, HMS Kite, Deptford. Reply to letter dated 18 July 1795 which he received this morning acquainting him that they had given their permission for him attending Sir William Howe KB Lieutenant General of the Ordnance on the Service of constructing Bridges in the District of Whitley near North Shields till the Sloop he is appointed to is ready. HMS Kite is only waiting for her Anchors and Cables to proceed to Galleons to take on her Guns and Powder. Requests orders whether he is to proceed as their directions of 18 July 1795.
