Folios 176-177: Pulteney Malcolm, HMS Fox, Nore. States that yesterday he received a letter dated 25 December 1795 acquainting him that they had appointed Lieutenant James Levett to the Impress Service at Weymouth and today he received another of the same date informing him of the appointment of Lieutenant Jeffrey Regersfield [Raigersfeld (Baron von)] to HMS Fox; there being no Port yesterday prevented him from soliciting the Admiralty for the appointment of Lieutenant George Boswell as First Lieutenant, who has served as 2nd Lieutenant of HMS Fox since 30 August 1794 but he hopes he is not too late and that they will considerate of the long service of Lieutenant George Boswell in the ship and appoint Lieutenant Jeffrey Regersfield [Raigersfeld (Baron von)] ro some other ship.
