Folios 164-165: [Letter to Pulteney Malcolm] Mr Latter of Heath Lodge, Hampstead. He begs leave to acquaint Mr Evan Nepean that has received a letter from Captain Pulteney Malcolm of HMS Fox informing him that he has written to Mr Evan Nepean to request an Official letter from the Admiralty recommending Captain Pulteney Malcolm to the Treasurer of Christ's Hospital who is in want of one if their Boys as a School Master. Captain Pulteney Malcolm has fixed on a Boy & Mr Laker was at the Hospital to day & was informed that the treasurer had not yet received the letter from Mr Evan Nepean and as the letter must be sent to the treasurer to day Mr Laker has the Honour to wait upon Mr Evan Nepean to require the favour of one - as it will otherwise be too late for the boy to go down to Deal. Captain Pulteney Malcolm is the Nephew of Sir Thomas Parley.
Folio 166: enclosure with folios 164-165. [Admiralty note] Mr Evan Nepean to write the usual letter to the Treasurer of Christ's Hospital to recommend Captain Pulteney Malcolm, HMS Fox, for a Boy out of that Hospital.
Folios 167-168: enclosure with folios 164-165. Pulteney Malcolm, HMS Fox, He has this day written to Mr Evan Nepean to request the Governors of the Blue Coat School may be directed to send him one of their Boys. He dare says Mr Nicholson will answer his.
