Folios 125-126: Alexander Mackay, [Regulating Captain], Aberdeen. Covering letter for the three Substitute Volunteers for the County of Aberdeen and one Quota Man who he found very useful in procuring of men. He therefore took the liberty to detain him here for that purpose - but will ship him off with the others at the first opportunity. He acknowledges receipt of yours dated 26 September 1795 signifying their directions of recall from this Service and at the same time acquaint you how many men are deficient of the quota for the Counties in which he has been stationed which are as follows:- County of Aberdeen - 104, Burgh of Kintore - 1 & Burgh of Inveraray - 1. Total 106. The return for the County of Banff he has not exactly got but shall write to Lieutenant George Robertson for the return.
