Reports at [Position stated] he fell in with the American Ship Newport, W C Robinson Master, of New York, bound for Bordeaux in France, laden with provisions of different descriptions, and as per Orders he has detained her and put on board Lieutenant James Nasmyth Marshall with directions to proceed to Plymouth or the nearest Port in Great Britain.
