Folios 248-249: Thomas Rogers, 43 Sackville Street. Encloses a letter from William Comber summarizing his long service as a Captain's Clerk and asking for a Purser's warrant. Would recommend him, as he was attentive to his duties.
Folios 250-251: enclosed with folios 248-249. Letter from William Comber, HMS Princess of Orange, Chatham, to the Admiralty, 24 February 1806. Reports that he has served the last six years as a Captain's Clerk, and two years ago sent the board his certificates. As he has Captain Thomas Rogers' recommendation, asks to be granted a Purser's warrant.
