Folio 243: Edward Roe, the Sea Fencibles, Sunderland. Reports he has investigated the complaint made by Midshipman Thomas Weightman of the Easington Signal Station against his commander, Lieutenant Webb. He found that Mr Weightman had been absent from his duty and had been discharged, and then wrote his letter in order to injure Lieutenant Webb, who had behaved properly throughout, except for the fact that he had enrolled his son on the muster roll. Has ordered that the son be discharged.
