Folios 163-164: George Reynolds, Regulating Captain, Deal. Reports that by the return left by Lieutenant John Walker, late of the Impress Service, Richard Holman was impressed from the Mentor off Dover in August and sent aboard HMS Princess of Orange.
Folios 165-167: enclosed with folios 163-164. Petition from Nicholas Dixon of the Parish of Stepney, Middlesex, to the Admiralty, 7 October 1806. States that Richard Holman was impressed from the Mentor, in the West India trade, off Dover in August and is now aboard HMS Zealand. Holman was bound as an apprentice to Mr Dixon in 1805 and had never been to sea before that, except for a voyage from America to England in the William Manning, of which Mr Dixon then Master. Asks for his discharge. Deposition sworn before J Miller, Justice of the Peace.
