Folios 202-203: Robert Lawrie, London. Writes on behalf of Boy John Griffith, who was on HMS Ajax under his command. Mr Griffith went on leave, and when he returned joined HMS Enterprise to catch up with his own ship. He was then taken ill as shown oin the enclosed certificate [not present] and has since been invalided. He cannot draw his pay due for the Ajax, as he is shown as Run on the ship's books. Asks the Admiralty remove the"R" against his name.
