Folios 169-170: James Sykes (Navy Agent), Arundel Street. Encloses a letter from Captain Henry Lyford about his entertaining Major General Alexander Hope and his suite on HMS Erebus while on passage to Gottenburgh [Gothenburg], asks for him to be paid the usual allowance for this.
Folios 171-172: enclosure with folios 169-170. Letter dated 23 June 1813 from Captain Henry Lyford, HMS Erebus, off Fleckeroe, to Navy Agent James Sykes, 22 Arundel Street, London. Asks the agent to make sure he is paid the extra allowances for the period when Admiral More [Rear Admiral Graham Moore ?] hoisted his flag aboard the Erebus and also for entertaining Major General Alexander Hope and four of his aides on the passage to Gottenburg.
