Folios 141-142: Edward Lyon, Regulating Officer, Londonderry. Francis Mangan, now aboard the Hope tender, was impressed by Lieutenant Watson on June 13 1811. He is not legally bound as the Master and Apprentice are at Limerick and the Appentice papers were excecuted at Killabee. He seems to be over 18 and healthy.
Folios 143-144: enclosure with folios 141-142. Letter dated 17 June 1811 by Archibald MacCallum Master of the Cloranal of Oban, Londonderry. Francis Mangan was impressed by Lieutenant Watson. When his indenture papers were shown, Watson said they were not legal as they had been left at Killabee for the Bailsman to sign as he was ill and could not travel so Mangan should be released.
