Folios 351-352: George Martin, HMS Colossus, Greenhithe. Representing to their Lordships that during the period they have been at this anchorage Lieutenant Brookbank has often been employed with the boats, raising men for the Service - he has succeeded in bringing in at least 13 fit men - and is often away from the ship for days at a time, so he has inevitably met with expenses to support himself and the boats' crews. Asks if their Lordships would consider making him some allowance for these sums.
