Folios 349-350: George Martin, HMS Colossus, Greenhithe. Advising that on Monday 18 July, Lieutenant Brookbank had by his order boarded a ship endeavouring to raise men for the Service, and had sent a boat to board another ship for the same purpose, but during this time Mr Adams, a branch pilot, had behaved to him in the 'most insolent and abusive manner' and tried to throw him overboard. Martin says that as the lieutenant was in the correct uniform and engaged in the execution of his duty, he is sure their Lordships will think proper to take appropriate steps.
