Folios 278-279: John Willoughby Marshall, HMS Lynx, Sheerness. He has received a letter from Rear Admiral Rowley informing him of their Lordships' displeasure at the desertion of 11 men from his ship. However, he points out that the men actually fled from vessels he had detained and sent into port, not from the Lynx, so there was no neglect on his part.
