Folios 274-275: John Willoughby Marshall, HMS Lynx, off Cape de Caux. Returning the letter sent by Rear Admiral Rowley regarding William Carr, and advising that the man had deserted the Lynx while they were in the Downs on 18 June.
Folios 276-277: enclosure with folios 274-275. Letter dated 2 June 1803 by I. [Tellkampf ?], London, saying that William Carr was an apprentice aged 18 and enclosing his certificate of baptism and an affidavit of the facts [neither now present] and asking for his discharge.
