Folios 258-259: John Willoughby Marshall, HMS Lynx, Long Reach. Replying to Admiralty query of 18 April regarding Robert Burnett, William Jones, Samuel Hewitt, and Richard Boundy, he says that only the first three were impressed by the officers of the Lynx and as the men did not declare themselves protected they were entered aboard ship.
Folios 260-261: enclosure with folios 258-259. Letter dated 14 April 1803 by Thomas Daniel, 4 Mircing Lane, who says he is owner of the ship Ark, Master James Reid, laden with government stores for Barbados, from which 3 seamen and a carpenter were impressed whilst going downriver, despite the men being under Admiralty protection. As they need to sail immediately he urges them to release the men.
