Folios 234G-234H: John Willoughby Marshall, HMS Lynx, Sheerness Harbour. Advising that John Speechly, who had been appointed as replacement purser on 5 February, has still not joined and that they are much in need of him to oversee the provisioning of the ship.
Folio 234I: enclosure with folios 234G-234H. Note dated Saturday 19 Feb 1803, saying that Mr Speechly had not yet 'proposed his sureties' for the post at the Victualling Office.
