Folios 226-227: Edward Marsh, St Mary's, Scilly. Acknowledges Admiralty letter of 19 October, advising that the expense of hiring a boat by the week is so much beyond what is asked at any other place that their Lordships cannot allow it. Marsh notes that the Sea Fencibles enrolled on six islands must hire a boat to go to and from them three days a week, for muster and exercise, and asks that at least they may be allowed that expense.
